Yerba Mate Tea Gourd

These custom designed glass gourds finished with very high quality leather, have the talented artwork of the local craftsmen from Uruguay on them. No two are alike, since they were all individually made for YUYERO. Carefully stitched with top quality leather and tempered glass for those who do not want to spend time curing and replacing gourds. The synthetic leather option has also been finished with native themes to adorn the attractive mate cup with metal rim and base. The glass mate was introduced based on a study performed, where it was identified that it was not the yerba mate that was causing stomach acidity in some particular cases, but rather the calabaza gourd. Since then, they have become quite popular.

A symbol known as the Andean Cross which in the cultures of the Andes is th most common and signifies the eternity of said cultures. It is generally a symbol used by the "lonko" or Chief of an indigenous community.
