If you've never tried tea from a squash-box--let me tell you: you've then never tried it from a squashed box!  A perfectly smashed box might just help release that perfect yerba mate aroma--or it might not--but what I can tell you is that these boxes are smashed.  We don't think this will hurt anything and it might just help... or it might not--as we just mentioned.
