On your recommendation, I tried the Romance while you were out of Rosamonte especial and love it, a very unique flavor and aftertaste when prepared traditionally.
But definitely, the gold standard has to be Playadito. The first sip and every gourd thereafter really set a bar for the rest of the brands to follow.

Thanks for making the change! I love products and service! I can get Mate here in Los Angeles but it is not easy as the Argentinian markets are not close to where I live. Your prices are affordable even thought the shipping charges hurt (not your fault) which makes it easier for to order from you than go to the store. Also my last order was shipped very fast!

I was delighted to have
discovered your website.
I lived in Chile for 8
years before recently moving to France. During
that time (thanks to the maid, who put me on to
this) I began to discover the delights of mate.
Since I traveled to Argentina (mostly Mendoza) every
3 months, it was easy to maintain a sufficient
store of yerba. But with the move to Europe, this
changed of course. Your site has a much greater
selection of gourds and tea than any B&M I ever
saw in Argentina.

I have been drinking yeba mate from a carved gourd mate for some time now and I was looking for a nice mate for a gift. I did a search on "mate gourds," found your website, and liked what I saw. (I ordered the carved "pajaro" gourd and it's every bit as nice as the photo on your website.) I was intrigued by your bamboo bombilla and decided to try that too. It feels so much nicer in the mouth than my stainless steel bombilla; I just don't know how difficult it will be to clean and I'm afraid it will get easily clogged. We're going to try it out tonight, however, and if it 's as functional as it is beautiful and comfortable, you'll be hearing from me again as I will want to buy more! Thanks again. By the way, the gift arrived in time for the birthday I bought it for--something I hadn't expected.

...'til one day i happened upon this site through Google...
...and now i reference all my friends and even order mates and bombillas for friends and family.
I find an ever-growing mate world... however i can only get the best herbs through StrawBale [the Yerba Mate Tea Gourd]

I was using loose leaf matte.
I'm trying to use up a really expensive brand, Guayaki, that I found about a month ago.
I have been using a guayaki gourd, but I've found it to be too large, so I ordered a smaller one from your site. I've tried several American loose-leaf brands before I discovered your site. I'm only beginning to discover that the authentic Argentinean brands are much better. In the future I would like to experiment with some of the other brands that you sell....

...Love the Xanxere. The most amazing thing is my wife is drinking it!
You have to understand my wife has been watching me drink yerba for over a year now and thinks I'm nuts. She DOES NOT like regular mate. I convinced her to try some Xanxere made in a french press with milk and a bit of sugar, and she LOVED it!
Now she actually prefers it to coffee!
This is why I just ordered 5 kilos (and a new bombilla for myself of course).
Here's a tip for making Xanxere in a french press: add the milk and stir FIRST. Add the boiling water SECOND. This reduced the brewing temperature and thus the bitterness.
